Hey! Are You In?

Most of Asians, especially Filipinos are so concern about their looks, their noses specifically. I dunno where did they get the notion or idea that if you have perfect pointed nose then you are beautiful, we’ll not for me. But please don’t get me wrong, i’m not against any rhinoplasty procedure or rhinoplasty nasal surgery it’s just that i don’t get the idea. Some enhancements are just fine but the excessive emphasis on this kinds of enhancements can harm your body in the long run.

Rhinoplasty is a surgical procedure which is usually performed by either an Otolaryngologist, Maxillofacial Surgeon, or Plastic Surgeon in order to improve the function (reconstructive surgery) and/or the appearance (cosmetic surgery) of a person’s nose. Rhinoplasty is also commonly called a “nose job”. Rhinoplasty can be performed to meet aesthetic goals or for reconstructive purposes to correct trauma, birth defects or breathing problems.

I think most Filipinos have this ‘idea of prettiness” because of the certain media like TV and magazine, of course in Philippine TV, when you see a flat-nose celebrity, people will immediately notice it and will call it ‘not so celebrity’ because we’ve been used to celebrities having perfect-pointed nose.
