2008 Fifth Annual Great American Seafood Cook-Off

Ever heard of the Great American Seafood Cook-Off? Actually it’s a cook off contest that was battled out by some of the US top chefs! Of course the main goal of this contest is to provide delicious recipes and the main ingredients is domestic seafoods that must be prepared from seafood harvested in American waters. Great American Seafood Cook-Off is on it’s 5th year now, and this year twenty top seafood chefs from around USA have brought their A-game and fresh fish from their home states down to the Big Easy for a chance to be crowned as the next King of American Seafood. The dishes are so delectable I wonder how the judges can pick only one winner.
And now you can can vote and enter to win a trip to New Orleans. The judges already casted their votes, now it’s time to cast yours. Just simply visit GreatAmericanSeafoodCookoff.com today and fill-up the contest form provided in the website and choose your votes from the recipes of the five finalist: Colorado - Chef Paul Anders, Maryland - Chef Tafari Campbell, Mississippi - Chef John Currence, Texas - Chef Mark Holley or Louisiana - Chef Brian Landry. Then click ’submit’ and you’re in for contest.
If you would ask me I would choose the “Texas Gulf Shrimp” of Chef Mark Holley, representing Texas. I choose this recipe because it’s not that complicated to prepare but I can tell that it taste good too just by looking at the photo they provided on the website. Plus I’m a big fan of shrimp so that recipe got my votes, and the fact that almost all of the ingredients needed for the “Texas Gulf Shrimp” can be easily bought anywhere. These domestic seafoods are really good for our health because it’s fresh and no preservatives and all unlike other food that we eat. So why not go check-out their site today, and discover new recipes, and while you’re there cast you’re votes too! Who knows you might win that “Trip to New Orleans” prize package that includes 2 Southwest Airline round trip tickets, hotel accommodations, dining experiences and so much more!
