Smart Bro Sucks. Smart Bro Sucks? I always read among bloggers they hate Smart Bro that much, but what is Smart Bro first? Smart Bro is the ‘leading’ wireless internet provider here in the Philippines, the other player PLDT MyDSL, which is wired. Smart Bro is a:

“Smart Bro is Smart’s revolutionary high-speed broadband Internet service that uses the nationwide network of Smart to wirelessly connect your computer to the World Wide Web – even if you’re beyond the reach of a phone line.” If you didn’t understand it, Smart Bro is getting it’s ‘internet connection’ via Smart’s communication facility, did I mention Smart Bro is also own by Smart the leading telecommunication provider here in the Philippines, they own PLDT too.

I don’t know if I’m just lucky or what, because here in my place, Smart Bro signal’s is OK, contrary to what other is saying, they are very pissed off with the service, and when you call their Costumer Service hotline, they just promise you that tomorrow it will be normalize. If i experience i will not pay my monthly bill!

Yesterday we celebrated Earth Day! and i will not know it without Google, their search engine homepage reminds that it’s Earth Day! Even we’re so busy in the cyberspace we must know how to care for our Earth, because it’s the only planet we can live in, only planet we can breath in. How i celebrate Earth Day? i admit it’s not that big event for me: the radio station i’m listening to, suggest that i should not take a bath on that day to conserve water, but OMG! it’s so hot here in the Republic of Philippines so instead of twice i just take a bath once! When i’m still in my HS i’ve read a question that goes this way: If Earth has birthday, what present would you gave to Earth? Remember Earth has Everything! Hhmm. could you answer that for me?

Some Earth Day Facts:
1. Earth Day was founded by U.S. politician Gaylord Nelson as an environmental teach-in in the late 1960.
2. Many cities extend the Earth Day celebration to be an entire week, usually starting on April 16, and ending on Earth Day, April 22nd.
3. Earth Day is now observed in 175 countries, and coordinated by the nonprofit Earth Day Network, according to whom Earth Day is now “the largest secular holiday in the world, celebrated by more than a half billion people every year.

Nominations for the 2008 Philippine Blog Awards Now Open

You can nominate your favorite Filipino blogs now! Nominations started last April 16, 2008. There are three (3) awards divisions and a total of THIRTY-SIX (36) award categories will be open for nomination. It’s the second year of Philippine Blog Awards now, a clear sign that there is blogging is getting so popular here in the Philippines.

The Nomination process:

a. The person who wishes to nominate a blog should first fill in completely and submit the proper online nomination form.

b. The accomplished form and nominee will then be evaluated if they satisfy the Eligibility Requirements. Incomplete forms will be returned with an advise to complete the form.

c. If the nominee satisfy all the Eligibility Requirements, the nominee will be contacted by email to get his approval of the nomination. The Nominee has final say whether to accept or not the nomination. The Philippine Blog Awards will be sending an email every seven days to inform the nominee of his nomination.

d. If the nominee accepts the nomination, the Philippine Blog Awards will then ask the nominee to submit five (5) posts written between April 2007 and April 2008. These five posts should embody and represent the category the blog was nominated for.

e. The nominee will then be advised fifteen (15) days after the end of the nomination period if the blog was included in the short list of nominees for that category.

f. The Philippine Blog Awards may ask the nominee additional data or information it deems fit.
